Does Neo Torrent provide torrents?+
No. Neo Torrent is only a BitTorrent client. It does not host, search, index, recommend, or distribute torrent files, magnet links, or downloadable content. You choose what to add; transfers happen on your device over the BitTorrent network.
How do I add a torrent?+
You can add a .torrent file from storage, paste or open a magnet link, enter an HTTPS URL that points to a .torrent file, or add by info hash. Android share intents also work, and you can optionally watch the clipboard for magnets you copy. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to download and share any content you add.
Do downloads continue in the background?+
Yes. Neo Torrent uses an Android foreground notification so transfers can continue while the app isn’t in the foreground. You can pause all downloads from that notification. Background transfers use your device and network; we are not responsible for data charges, battery use, or interruptions caused by the system or your carrier.
Where are files saved?+
Downloads go to the download folder you choose in Settings. Everything stays on your device. Neo Torrent does not sync files to the cloud. You are responsible for backing up files and for any loss if the device is damaged, wiped, or storage is full.
Can I change the theme?+
Yes. In Settings you can pick light, dark, or system theme. Preferences are stored locally on your device (for example via SharedPreferences).
How do speed limits and pause on cellular work?+
Settings let you cap download and upload speeds and connection counts. You can also pause transfers on mobile data and set a download schedule so activity fits the hours you choose. Network conditions and carrier policies are outside our control.
Does Neo Torrent include a VPN?+
No. Neo Torrent does not include a built-in VPN or proxy. BitTorrent traffic is peer-to-peer and may be visible to your ISP, network operator, peers, and trackers. If you use a VPN, that is separate software you choose yourself. We do not provide, endorse, or take responsibility for any VPN.
Do you collect analytics or require an account?+
No. The app has no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no crash reporters that phone home to us, and no cloud sync. Your library and settings stay on the device. See our Privacy Policy for details about this website and optional feedback.
Is Neo Torrent responsible for what I download?+
No. Neo Torrent is a neutral client tool. We do not host, index, recommend, or control torrent content. You alone are responsible for complying with copyright and other laws. Using the app for unlawful distribution or infringement is prohibited and is solely your risk and liability, not Illusion Apps’.
What if a download fails or my data is lost?+
The app is provided as is. Peers, trackers, your network, and your device can all cause failures. We do not warrant successful downloads and are not liable for lost, incomplete, or corrupted files, to the fullest extent permitted by law. How can I send feedback?+
Use the Feedback page on this website. Messages are sent by email when the form is submitted. We don’t collect feedback through in-app tracking. Do not include sensitive personal information. Submitting feedback does not create any support obligation or warranty.
